The Best Places to Find Free Online Publishing Classes
Each of these platforms offers slightly different classes. They are free, at least to start, though some offer premium upgrades that you have to pay to access.
Skillshare is an online learning community with over 22,000 classes on a huge range of topics. Their writing and publishing classes cover nearly every aspect of publishing you can imagine: storytelling, blogging, poetry, copywriting, even marketing.
You can browse free classes on their site; classes are taught by experts in each field.

Teaching a Skillshare class can give you the opportunity to earn money, launch your career, or just give back. Anyone can teach a class as long as it adheres to their Class Guidelines.
Alison offers more than 1,000 free online courses. You can choose from three different levels: Certificate Courses, which take 2-3 hours to complete; Diploma Courses, which require 8-10 hours; and Learning Paths, for which you’ll need 18-20 hours.
The catch: Although the classes themselves are free, if you want the actual certificate or diploma to prove that you took the class, you’ll have to pay for it.
