Writing about one’s faith and spirituality can be quite daunting. But there is still someone out there willing to give you a helping hand.
Our team put together this list of Christian book agents that represents Christian novels, Christian nonfiction, inspirational books, and spiritual books.
List of Christian Book Agents
We highly recommend you to read our full guide to finding a literary agent and make sure you do your research before writing a query letter or contacting any literary agents.
Also, although we have listed several agents for some of the same agencies, make sure you pick out the agent that best matches your project: it’s considered bad manners in the literary world to send queries to more than one agent in a given agency, so steer clear of this taboo!
Here’s our list of 43 Christian book agents who can help you get your book published.

Hello!
I am looking for an agent for a book of devotions. I did not set out to be an author. Many people encouraged me to pursue publishing after they were blessed by the prayers. This is all so new to me, I’d appreciate any advise. Thank you!
My wife and i authored our first book and had it self-published. It launched on November 20, 2018. The title is “In the Blink of an Eye: Forgiveness in Black and White.” A feature length movie was filmed based on the book and released to theaters earlier this year in the midst of the pandemic. The movie is titled after our ministry, My Brothers’ Crossing. We never set out to be authors. We never set out to produce a movie through our ministry, BUT GOD. Those who have read our book or seen the movie are encouraging us to continue and do more. It has all been overwhelming. We have invested everything into our ministry and these efforts and don’t really know where to go with the next steps. Suggestions?
Hi JT, thanks for sharing your story! It sounds like you’ve already had quite a lot of success, so congratulations on all your efforts. I’d say the next steps are really up to you — if you have a passion and are excited about what you could do with more books (and potential film adaptations), then I’d say go for it. You can enlist the help of literary agents or other publishers, rather than self-publishing, to take some of the work off your shoulders. But if you’re feeling tired, overwhelmed, and not really up for those projects, I’d think carefully before starting. You don’t want to end up giving so much of your time and resources on a project your heart isn’t in.
I am looking for an agent to help me with my new nonfiction Christian book “Answering the Call To Be A Parish Nurse: Heightened By A Pandemic.” I have the support and excitement of my national/international parish nurse organization. My first book was “Wake Up Call 911: It’s Time to Reduce Your Risk for a Heart Attack and Stroke (2015). Is anyone interested in working with me?
Hi Jennie, you may want to try checking the guidelines for each, then send query letters to the ones you like and who are looking for nonfiction :)
Hi there, I’m looking for literary agents for Christian Children’s Books and am struggling to find such a list. Any help would be so appreciated.
Hi Leah, if you browse the links on this page, I’m sure you’ll find some agents who are interested in Christian Children’s books as well :) Or, you could check out our post on children’s literary agents (https://www.tckpublishing.com/childrens-book-literary-agents/) . There might be some who are interested in books with a Christian focus :)
I have been writing a trilogy of Christian Fantasy books, but they are unique in dealing with the tougher questions about coming to faith, and addressing darker topics not normally found in typical Christian Fantasy.
Looking through the list of publishers, I didn’t see any that may fit this particular type of fantasy. If I were to sign with a publisher, are there any that would accept this type of criteria? Should I self publish instead?
Hi Max, if you see some from this list that are interested in fantasy, I would still contact them and tell them in more detail about your manuscript and see how they respond. They might be open to it. Or, you could check our list of fantasy literary agents and see if any are interested in books with a Christian angle (https://www.tckpublishing.com/literary-agents-accepting-science-fiction-and-fantasy-submissions/). If you still don’t have any luck, self-publishing is definitely an option and many people in that situation find success going their own route.
I am looking for an agent who would help get published a Historical/Theological book on English Baptists and Anabaptists History and Doctrine. Any specific agent you could recommend?
Hi Dan, I don’t know any off the top of my head, but if you browse through the submission guidelines on this list you might find some that could be a good match. Or, you could check out our list of nonfiction literary agents as well, if your book is history-focused (https://www.tckpublishing.com/nonfiction-literary-agents/). I hope this helps!
I am looking for an author who would interested in publishing a theological book that looks at the bible in light of 15 stories or more specifically, weeks like genesis and passion weeks. These 15 weeks moves the story of the bible forward in light of revelation, redemption, reconciliation, resurrection and kingdom. all these weeks mirror the passion week which is the paradigm week. Jesus is the paradigm worker.
Hi Robert, thanks for your comment! I’m sure there are at least a few on this list that could be a good match for your idea :)
I’m looking for an agent for Christian Plays. Please let me know which agency handles Christian plays. Thank you
Hi Stephanie, I went through the list and couldn’t find any that say they’re looking for plays. A few specify that they don’t want scripts or screenplays. You might still contact a few just to ask :) I also found this Christian publisher looking for plays: https://www.christianpub.com/default.aspx?pg=ag
I’m looking for an agent that doesn’t get paid until the author gets paid. There are too many Vanity” presses out there that would be happy to publish anything as long as you give them money.
Thanks for your comment! Most agencies on this list that don’t charge upfront fees for their services, but take a commission for the sale of rights. Similarly, reputable publishers don’t charge fees, but take a certain amount of royalties. At TCK, for example, we charge no fees but split royalties 50/50 with our authors.
