If you’re an author or literary agent considering submitting a book to TCK Publishing and wondering what the basic terms are for a book deal with TCK Publishing, this page is for you.
Contract Terms
We decided not to publish the entire contract on our website because we update it from time to time, but here are the basic terms included in a publishing contract with TCK Publishing:
- The author grants TCK Publishing exclusive publishing rights for eBook, print, and audio.
- The author keeps the copyright for their work.
- TCK Publishing pays 50% gross royalties to the author for eBook, print, audio, and any licensing revenue collected for the book and any subsidiary rights.
- Royalty and sales reports are updated monthly for the author, and royalties are paid every 6 months.
- The contract term is 5 years and the term is renewable.
- TCK Publishing sends the author 5 free author copies of the book.
- The author may purchase author copies at 65% off the retail price.
- Subsidiary rights including translations, film, and TV are negotiable.
Contract Questions
If you have any additional questions, we recommend you browse our FAQ page and submission guidelines page or contact us on our Contact page.
Please note that because we can only publish less than 1% of the submissions we receive, we do not engage in detailed contract discussions until our editors have reviewed a submission and reached out to the author to discuss publication of their book.
