Richard D. Mann was born in Topeka, Kansas, November, 24, 1931. He married a woman from Guam on September 14, 1956. They have Two Daughters, three grandsons, one granddaughter, and one great grandson. He passed away in 2014, but his legacy lives on through his family and books.
Richard had a BA in History and Political Science,with a minor in languages (English and Spanish). He graduated in 1962 from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and took Graduate courses from the University of Kansas in the 1970’s.
He was a recipient of the Veteran Employment Award from Secretary of the Department of Human Resources in the State of Kansas in 1985. He was a Member of two Kansas City area mayors’ Jobs for Veterans committees, and a member of the International Association of Personnel in Employment Security from 1970 to 1988.
Richard served in the U.S. Navy for four years as an Aviation Electronics Technician. He has published two Science Fictino short stories in Millennium Magazine.
